Synopsis

Mayberry, North Carolina is home to the quintessential small-town sitcom, watched over by easygoing sheriff Andy Taylor (Andy Griffith) and his tense, bumbling deputy, Barney Fife (Don Knotts). Rounding out the cast are widower Andy's son Opie (Ron Howard) and Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier), who kept house and mothered Opie. Filled with gentle philosophies and focused on human relationships, the five-time Emmy award-winning show ran from 1960 to 1968.
