Synopsis

Leda (Jane March) knows firsthand the impact of terrorism. Her husband (Jordi Mollà), an expert on the subject, was paralyzed by a terrorist bomb. Then love unexpectedly enters Leda's life in the form of Ludovico (Harvey Keitel), a charming gem dealer … and a ruthless al-Qaida operative. Blinded by passion, Leda becomes an unwitting pawn in the large-scale terrorist attack Ludovico and his accomplice, Shahid (F. Murray Abraham), are plotting.

This is a very good movie about terrorism from the point of view of a victim of a terrorist attack. He is a college professor who lost his legs in the bombing of the U.S. embassy in Kenya. He is obsessed with terrorism and seems paranoid to his friends, colleagues and his wife. But is he paranoid or are they really out to get him?... Us?... Everyone? What do you think? There are some flaws in the plot, like why does Jane March's character fall for that old goat? (Harvey Keitel) No I'm not jealous, it's a legitimate question... I guess. Anyway I really enjoyed this movie and the scenes of the Fairy Chimneys were a real treat. This is an Italy/ United Kingdom co-production. I know because it says so at the beginning and end. It's All in English with no subtitles but I think they did an excellent job on the dubbing. Give it a try, it's good. I liked it a lot, and would I lie to you? (10/21/08)
