Synopsis

A pair of country music icons headlines this entertaining twin bill. George Strait debuts in Pure Country as megastar Dusty Chandler, who abandons glitter and fame for the simple life; Lesley Ann Warren plays his driven manager. In Honeysuckle Rose, when his partner (Slim Pickens) retires and names his pretty daughter (Amy Irving) as his successor, crooner Buck Bonham (Willie Nelson) finds himself torn between her and his wife (Dyan Cannon).
