Synopsis

Having recently taken a wife, Jonas Chuzzlewit tries to secure his future by joining up with the director of a loan company. But is he working with a trustworthy partner? Meanwhile, a wounded Charity Pecksniff prepares for an independent life away from her father, who continues to prey on his ailing cousin.
