Synopsis

After being mysteriously let go from his apprenticeship, young Martin Chuzzlewit says his goodbyes to Mary Graham and sets his sights across the ocean, where he hopes to make his fortune in America. Meanwhile, Charity Pecksniff and Jonas Chuzzlewit are becoming too close for some people's comfort.
