Synopsis

Blending elements of several genres, this coming-of-age tale about mysterious beings drawn to those in trouble is based on a short story by Jonathan Lethem. College dropout Paul (Michael Esper) launches a search for his estranged brother, Don (Paul Dano), urging his sibling to travel west with him in search of a better future. But the two soon fall prey to a mysterious "sufferer" -- and drug dealers who want them both dead.
