Synopsis

David Shepherd (Christopher Egan) becomes a national hero when he crosses enemy lines to rescue the king's son (Sebastian Stan) during the long-running war against Gath. But he finds that the power struggles in the royal court are just as dangerous as those on the battlefield. A modern take on the story of David and Goliath, the series traces David's rise to power after he wins the favor of King Silas (Ian McShane) of Gilboa.
