Synopsis

Hard-boiled New York City detective Eddie Mallard (Tommy Lee Jones) finds himself involved in the weirdest case of his career when a wealthy widower asks for his help in stopping his ex-wife (Virginia Madsen) from harassing him. Mallard realizes that the case may be too much for him when he discovers that the woman was murdered a decade ago ... and that her husband is falling in love with her ghost!
