Synopsis

The work of the Marquis de Sade is the inspiration for this 1969 French drama by famed director Jesus Franco. A gorgeous tropical island provides the backdrop as the once-innocent Eugenie (Marie Liljedahl) undergoes her sexual initiation at the hands of Dolmance (Christopher Lee). Soon, she becomes irrevocably enmeshed in a world of pain, drugs, murder and sadomasochism in this controversial exploration of sexual extremes.
