Synopsis

Street tough Casey Brown (Jodie Foster) teams with con man Harry Brundage (Leo McKern) to fleece wealthy Lady St. Edmund (Helen Hayes). The plan? First, convince her that Casey is her long-lost grandchild. Then Casey must wheedle her way into the noblewoman's country estate, where there's a hidden fortune just waiting to be stolen. But when Casey realizes Lady St. Edmund loves her -- and is, in fact, destitute -- the teen's loyalties are tested.
