Synopsis

Director Bob Rafelson's superbly crafted thriller stars Debra Winger as Alexandra Barnes, an inquiring federal investigator who becomes intrigued -- then fixated -- when she stumbles across an unusual pattern of deaths by seemingly natural causes.
