Synopsis

Soon after meeting Covent Garden prostitute Mary Collins (Zoe Tapper), 18th-century English painter William Hogarth (Toby Jones) is inspired to create A Harlot's Progress, a series of paintings that would make him one of the most admired artists of his day. But problems arise for the young painter when he starts working too closely with his subject, embroiling himself in a world of seediness and sin.
