The sixth film version (this one made for TV) of Oscar Wilde's classic story sticks close to his customary wit and social satire. Ian Richardson is Sir Simon de Canterville, the supernatural curmudgeon who haunts Canterville Chase Castle. When the current residents of the castle discover that the home they've inherited is haunted, they seek an exorcism via an eccentric medium. Sarah-Jane Potts co-stars as the teenage daughter who saves the day.
